Who handles your data

This policy describes how DarkRomanceTV handles personal information. Contact support@darkromancetv.com for privacy questions or requests.
Information we use
We use your email address, account identifier, and sign-in information to provide your account. When you use Google sign-in, we receive the account information authorized through that sign-in. We also handle your saved series, ratings, purchase and access records, creator forms, rights declarations, uploaded media, and support messages. Technical information can include request times, IP addresses, browser information, and security or error logs.
Your creator real name and country are private account information. Your chosen channel name, channel address, published series, covers, summaries, and selected external links are public. Do not put private information in public fields. Stripe separately collects the seller verification and payment information required for its service. Stripe may show seller details on receipts according to the seller's Stripe settings.
Channel subscriptions and emails
We keep your purchases, channel heart balances, episode unlocks, subscriptions, consent and notification delivery records to provide the benefits you purchase and the emails you request. Only subscriber counts are public; TV does not display subscriber names or email addresses to other viewers or in the creator studio. The seller and Stripe receive billing information needed to process payments, receipts, refunds and disputes. Resend handles email delivery. You can stop channel emails independently of canceling paid subscription renewal.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, host and prepare media, display the public catalog, maintain viewing access, save your list and ratings, process and verify purchases, support creators, respond to requests, detect abuse, and meet legal obligations. Public series statistics include views, likes and aggregate ratings. Views count episode playback starts; they are not a count of unique people.
Public channel profiles and comments
Optional channel bios, logos, banners and links are shown publicly. Written episode comments and their dates are also public. We retain an internal account reference to manage your comments and verify your subscription, but do not display your email address or private real name with them. You can remove your comments, and creators can remove comments on their episodes. Removed comments are hidden publicly and retained internally for service safety and dispute handling under our retention practices.
Cookies and device storage
TV uses cookies for its own session and request security. Your browser may store viewing progress, autoplay preferences, and installation information. Browser settings can remove this storage, which may sign you out or reset preferences. Security checks and Google sign-in also interact with their respective providers. Installing TV does not remove the need to connect to the service for viewing and account features.
Providers and disclosures
Cloudflare provides hosting, media storage and processing, and security checks. Supabase provides the account and database services. Google provides optional sign-in. Resend delivers sign-in emails. For channels using Stripe Connect, Stripe processes payments directly on the creator's connected account and handles bank payouts. DarkRomanceTV never holds those Stripe Connect earnings and does not receive your full card number. Namecheap Private Email hosts the support and marketplace mailboxes. Providers process information needed for their functions. Payment information is also provided to the seller as needed to handle the purchase, receipts, refunds and disputes.
The account infrastructure is shared with DarkRomanceWrite and Darkish. TV's host-specific session and TV purchase records do not grant paid access to those products. If you follow an external character, novel, or social-network link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Clicking a social share link opens that destination; TV does not publish a post for you.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or security incidents, or carry out a lawful business transfer. Processing may occur outside your country. Applicable safeguards and data rights depend on the circumstances and governing law.
Retention and security
We keep information as needed to provide your account, preserve purchased access, address disputes and rights complaints, and satisfy applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. Retention varies by the type and purpose of the record; payment and consent records may need to remain after account closure. We restrict access and use security controls, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can change your saved list and rating through your account. Public channel identity is fixed after setup. For access, correction, account closure, or deletion requests, email support@darkromancetv.com. We may verify your identity and retain records where required or justified by an ongoing obligation. Depending on applicable law, you may have further rights, including objection, restriction, portability, or a complaint to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise the rights that apply to you.
Children and updates
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age at which applicable law permits them to use the account service without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information without required consent, contact support@darkromancetv.com. We will review the report and take the steps required by applicable law.
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
Distribution payments
If your channel uses our distribution option, Airwallex processes your bank information for payments. DarkRomanceTV collects and privately retains your signed tax form, including your legal name, address, tax identifiers, certifications and electronic signature, for tax documentation, withholding and reporting. Access is limited to your authenticated account and authorized processing; records may be provided to authorized withholding agents or tax authorities when required. DarkRomanceTV also keeps the related connection identifiers, agreement, verification status and payment records. Your bank details and tax information are not public and are not shown to viewers.
